At the heart of the EcoDiamond process lies the Cell - a meticulously engineered environment where lab-grown diamonds are cultivated under controlled high-pressure and high-temperature (HPHT) conditions.
Crafted from advanced ceramic composites and high-purity materials, the Reaction Cell is designed to withstand extreme internal forces of over 5 GPa and temperatures exceeding 1500°C. It houses a unique multi-layered architecture consisting of thermal insulators, heating elements, carbon sources, and catalyst metals.
The precision and stability of this internal environment allow for the atom-by-atom growth of diamond structures from a single seed crystal. Specialized heater assemblies ensure precise thermal gradients, while zirconia-based components provide optimal insulation and mechanical integrity.
Every Reaction Cell is assembled by hand using custom-pressed components, and undergoes vacuum drying and thermal calibration before entering the growth chamber. Each unit is designed for a single growing cycle and is fully traceable by batch number.
