The Origin of Every Diamond

The soul of diamond creation lies within the source. The process of growing a diamond is done using HPHT method and the core element of this cycle is based on the recrystallization of carbon source. Carbon atoms from one form are rearranged into a different order thus creating one of the most magnificent materials on the planet.

Any organic substrate is thermally processed and can serve as a source in order to form a crystal structure of a diamond. Obtaining of graphite from biomaterials at EcoDiamond is carried under one roof to ensure not only vast quality control, but also reduces the overall production time of the diamond, as well as allowing the customization of the experience from the very beginning to each customer.

InfiniteGraphite™ purpose is to develop a systematic process of source material acquisition under one roof.

Knowing the source is an integral part of any research or production process. EcoDiamond´s belief in this concept should not be overlooked. Our goal is to ensure the pure and authentical experience for our customers, to experience the natural wonders modern laboratories can achieve right in front of your eyes. The imagination and creativity of individuals have developed a niche market for these types of products – now anyone can turn their beloved organic material or even more cherishable remains of loved ones into an ever-living symbol that is a diamond.

Our uniqueness lies within the transparency of the process and the possibility for the customer to experience the cycle from very beginning to the end.

We can now extract graphite from the carbon compound and add it to the growing process of the diamond. The graphite can be extracted from any biomaterial, be it flowers or even a lock of hair, and for those looking for a more particular significance of the source – cremation ashes are also a valid source.

Process Overview:
InfiniteGraphite™ is a proprietary multi-stage process for transforming organic biological materials into ultra-pure graphite, which serves as the carbon source for growing personalized diamonds. This process preserves the symbolic essence of origin, transforming ephemeral matter into enduring crystalline form.
1

Biomaterial Preparation

Organic material (such as hair, cremation ashes, flowers, or fabric) is gently dried, purified, and milled into a uniform powder. Optional pre-treatments include defatting and demineralization to enhance carbon yield.
2

Low-Temperature Carbonization

The prepared material undergoes controlled heating in an inert atmosphere (argon or nitrogen) at 400–600 °C. Volatile components are removed, leaving behind a carbon-rich solid residue.
3

Chemical Purification

The carbonized material is subjected to a series of chemical treatments to remove residual inorganic compounds, minerals, and metallic traces. This step ensures the material reaches the necessary chemical purity for the next phase.
4

Graphitization

The critical step: ultra-high temperature treatment at ≥2700 °C in an induction-heated graphitization furnace. At this point, the carbon atoms align into crystalline graphite with exceptional purity and stability.
5

Quality Control & Certification

Each graphite sample is analyzed using spectroscopic and microscopic techniques to confirm purity, crystallinity, and structural integrity. Certified batches are used directly in the diamond growth chambers of our HPHT BARS systems.
